Payments & plans

What's free, what's paid, how promote packages work, and how billing and refunds are handled.

What does it cost to use PlotsLand?

For buyers: nothing. Searching, filtering, saving searches, revealing numbers, posting requirements, and getting match alerts are all free — and there's no brokerage, ever, because you deal with the seller directly.

For sellers: posting a plot is free on the Starter plan, which includes one live listing, the full enquiry inbox, and standard moderation and verification. You can sell a plot end-to-end on PlotsLand without paying a rupee.

Paid products are optional accelerators: plans for running multiple listings with analytics, and promote packages for extra visibility on a single listing. Current prices are always on the pricing page.

What plans are available for sellers?

Starter is free and suits an owner selling one plot: one live listing, enquiries, visit scheduling, and eligibility for verification. Nothing about being on the free plan hides your listing or throttles your leads.

Paid plans are built for people selling more than one plot — brokers, developers clearing a layout, families splitting a holding. They raise the live-listing limit and add portfolio tools: per-listing analytics (views, enquiries, reveals), and priority support.

Plans are billed for a fixed period and don't auto-renew silently — you'll be notified before expiry and can renew from your dashboard. Compare current plans and prices on the pricing page.

How do the Urgent, Featured, and Top of Search promotions work?

Each package boosts one listing for a fixed number of days. Urgent adds a high-visibility badge that signals a motivated seller; Featured places the listing in the hand-picked carousels on the home page and city pages; Top of Search lifts it above organic results when a buyer's search matches.

You buy a promotion from the listing's manage screen, it activates as soon as payment succeeds, and it expires automatically — no auto-renewal, no recurring charge. The listing then returns to its normal ranking.

Promotions change visibility, not standards: a promoted listing goes through the same moderation, and suspending a listing also ends its promotion (see the refund article for how that's handled).

How do I pay, and is it secure?

Payments run through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS-compliant Indian payment gateway. You can pay by UPI, credit or debit card, or netbanking. The payment happens on the gateway's secure flow — PlotsLand never sees or stores your card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.

Once payment succeeds you'll see the plan or promotion active on your dashboard within moments, and an invoice is generated under Billing with the amount, date, payment method, and status.

If money was debited but nothing activated, don't pay again — failed-but-debited payments auto-reverse through the gateway within a few business days, and support can reconcile it against your payment reference immediately.

What is the refund policy?

If a plan or promotion you paid for didn't activate, or a promotion was cut short by a fault on our side, write to support@plotsland.in within 7 days with the payment reference. We refund the undelivered portion in full to your original payment method, typically within 5–7 business days of approval.

Promotions that ran their full stated duration aren't refundable, and neither are promotions ended early because the listing was suspended for breaking the rules — the terms of use cover this.

Plan fees are refundable pro-rata only in the rare case that we withdraw a feature you paid for. When in doubt, ask — billing disputes are handled by a human, not a policy bot.

Does PlotsLand take a commission when my plot sells?

No. PlotsLand charges zero brokerage and zero commission on the sale itself. The transaction — negotiation, agreement, registration, payment — happens directly between buyer and seller; we never touch the sale consideration and never ask for a success fee.

Our revenue comes only from the optional plans and promotions described above. That's deliberate: a marketplace paid by commission has an incentive to insert itself into your deal, and removing middlemen is the whole point of PlotsLand.

Corollary: anyone demanding a “PlotsLand transaction fee”, “release fee”, or commission to complete your deal is defrauding you. Report the account and don't pay.
